Southern Kaduna stakeholders on Thursday called for collaborative economic activities for people of the zone as a way of promoting peaceful co-existence among the people in the area.

They also agreed on a immediate cessation on attacks, kidnappings and cattle rustling going on in the southern part.
This was contained in a communique read and signed by the Chairman of the communiqué Committee, Prof. Sunday Agang, and his Co-Chairman Prof. Abdullahi Ashafa, issue to newsmen at the end a peace summit held in Kafanchan which was convened by the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC) in collaboration with friends of Southern Kaduna.
They warn against inciting statements and utterances that always make people feel alienated and stressed the need for such comments to be avoided by all.
While noting that women and youths should be carried along in all formal peace processes, adding that a deliberate efforts to 'recognize and celebrate our differences' should be put in place for a better understanding.
Other resolutions included stopping minors from grazing alone, farming on grazing routes and deliberate destruction of farm crops among others.
The stakeholders during the summit identified reprisal attacks as one of the causes of Constance crisis in Southern Kaduna which according to them appears like a justification of the attacks.
The summit called on all leaders at local, state and national levels to avoid all that bothers on appearance of taking sides and not being impartial judges.
They recommended that serious observations should be always make at the end of the report on killings and conflict that are to be conveyed to the federal and state governments, thereby ensuring that only issues perceived to be the causes of the festering violence should be communicated in separate letters to the President and the Governor of the State.
In his remarks earlier, Rev. Yakubu Pam, the Executive-Secretary of NCPC, solicited the continuous synergy and for collaboration of all relevant stakeholders.
According to him, the state government would do well to by implement all agreements reached at the summit.
He called on the State and Federal Governments to reach out to the victims of the crisis with interventions to enable them rebuild their lives as well as involving the warring parties in decision making processes that affects them.
Also speaking, Priscilla Ankut, the Executive-Vice Chairperson of the Kaduna State Peace Commission, said that the state government remained relentless in stemming the tide of violence in the state.
Ankut maintained that putting humanity above religious and ethnic considerations would bring about quick resolution of the crisis in Southern Kaduna.
