The leadership of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has raised alarm over what it described as a secret manhunt on the leaders of Pro Biafra agitators and their key members by the Department of Security Services (DSS).

The group alleged that information gathered by its Intelligence unit exposed a planned directive passed to the Director General of the DSS by the Aso Rock Fulani cabals.
A statement by MASSOB leader, Uche Madu said, “The intelligence report also reveals that the security agents of DSS will disguise themselves as commoners and laymen in other to easily penetrate the ranks and files of mainstream pro Biafra groups with the intention of marking down the top states, zonal and LGA leaders and Coordinators for death and arrest.
“Even the pro Biafra group leaders in diaspora and other members in exile and those seeking asylum in diaspora are not free.
“The federal government of Nigeria is secretly working with some agents of foreign countries to arrest our members in diaspora and deport them back to Nigeria for persecution and prosecution. The Chairman/CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa and her commission is the medium through which the federal government is executing this evil plan of forceful deportation of persecuted Biafrans”
The group said that following the recent extra judicial killings of members of IPOB by security agents in Enugu, the DSS and police commenced a house to house search of members of Pro Biafra agitators.
According to the pro Biafra group, the security agencies also kicked off a stop and search exercise of commercial vehicles and checking of people’s phone.
“These criminal and illegal activities of our oppressor is not geared towards IPOB only, MASSOB and other Pro Biafra organizations are not spared.
“They are trying to intimidate us, break our spirits and motivations but they will never succeed. President Mohammadu Buhari and his Fulani cabals are afraid of an Igbo man emerging as the next Nigeria president, they are afraid of pro Biafra agitators as a monumental factor that will frustrate the Arewa plot for another fulani to succeed the President.
“They want to systematically destroy the forces behind the spirit of Biafranism. They did not succeed in 1967 — 1970, they can’t succeed now.
“Our Intelligence reports informed MASSOB that the primary reason of this plot to secretly kill, abduct and imprison the key leaders of Pro Biafra groups is to disorganize the defense of the lives and properties of the people of Biafra against the marauding Fulani militants on their planned genocidal attack in Biafra land.
“Every activities, mass movement and intentions of the Fulani militants into Biafra land is completely backed, financed and motivated by the president”, MASSOB stated.
While saying that it can not be intimidated by the genocidal plot and harassment of its members in diaspora, MASSOB appealed to Amnesty International, United Nations Human Rights Commission, European Union, United States of America, Government of Canada to stop Nigeria from carrying out her planned onslaught against the non violent members of Pro Biafra agitators.
