Shites Protest In Mararaba

Members of the Islamic movement, Shites are currently protesting the continued detention of their leader, Ibrahim Elzakzaki on the Nyaya-Mararaba-Keffi expressway.

Dressed in black and red bandana round their heads, the protesters in their hundreds, danced through Nyanya and disrupted traffic along the Mararaba -Keffi road carrying banners of their leader and placards with various inscriptions.
Although their protest was peaceful as at the time of the report, human and vehicular movements was slowed down with motorists carefully passing through a single lane.

One of the protesters, Ibrahim Salisu told AIT that they will hold Abuja down in the next one week with peaceful protests at various locations in the FCT.
